EXPERIENCE

Mr. Fioretti’s experience emphasizes civil litigation in matters concerning business and government.  He is a veteran practitioner in the areas of environmental, civil rights, and administrative law and has litigated a wide variety of cases in federal and state court as well as before various administration law judges.  In civil and commercial law, his practice is concentrated in intellectual property, business torts, environmental, anti-trust, insurance, energy and civil-rights law.

Mr. Fioretti handled over 500 civil-rights cases while serving as Senior Supervising Attorney of the General Litigation Division of the City of Chicago, Office of the Corporation Counsel.  He has been appointed in numerous cases as a Special Assistant Attorney General of Illinois and a Special Assistant State’s Attorney.  He has served on the Business Advisory Board of the Illinois Secretary of State since 1999, on the Executive Committee of the Chicago Bar Association Judicial Evaluation Committee and a member of the Illinois State Bar Association General Assembly and the Character and Fitness Committee of the Illinois Supreme Court since 2001.  He has served on the board of the Historic Pullman Foundation since 1992 and was its president from 1995 to 2000.  He also is a long-standing member of the adjunct faculty at Northern Illinois University College of Law. 

In 2007, Mr. Fioretti was elected Alderman of the Second Ward of the City of Chicago.   Despite working full-time as an Alderman, Mr. Fioretti continues to practice in the field of law with his law firm, Fioretti & Lower, Ltd.
